I have a 68 malibu w/ 327 that i just put a BG650 speed demon VE on. It works great, but the only prob i have is that whenever i park on a slight decline or incline, the motor will have a high and sometimes erratic idle. My sight plugs in the fuel bowls are filled about 1/4 of the way up. is this too much? Is the high/erratic idle caused by that? The prob goes away after driving a bit, and i am almost %100 it is not choke related. Any help?

On a Holley, the fuel is supposed to go to the bottom of the site hole. So you've got the floats too high. Don't know if it's enough to cause your problem but it's worth a try to lower the floats.
