well, i had both the rides i had up for sale, fall threw. i was going to buy this for a beater http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/1012123163.html then look for a new project. after taking countless pictures, and chasing every # i could find, the guy buying the fairlane decided he to offer me 1/2 my asking price, even though he talked like he was going to pay full asking. you can't build my fairlane for what i'm asking, and i can't believe the bizarre questions people ask.

i pulled my truck off e-bay for a friend, and she decided she didn't have a place to put it. she's been wanting to buy this thing since i brought it home, and i even offered it to her for less than i have in it, just to have it stay in the loop, in case i ever wanted to get it back.

so, now, no new project, and i get to keep my funky old truck. i don't mind having either of these cars, i just thought i was moving on to new things....could be worse, i could have got scammed out of them. a few $ lost on e-bay, but everything still in my possesion...

I've always liked those Camaros. Darn the luck you are having right now.

I tried to "give" my Chevelle away a couple of years ago...no takers. But, I'm glad I kept it...I like the attention. :)

It's always a pisser when you do something to help out somebody and then they don't follow thru. this happened to us 3 years ago selling a house. A neighbor knew we were selling and she said she always wanted our house. Her husband stopped by and said they would like to look that weekend, which they did. They really wanted it and would get together with us the next weekend to talk numbers. He is an insurance man, she is a stay at home, no kids, in the 60's, he drives a new caddy, her a new van. Obviously money wasn't a factor, they lived in a house worth about the same amount and had been there for 25 years. The next weekend came and they had a death in the family. We scheduled for the next weekend. They canceled again because of family emergency. After 4 weeks, they finally called and said they had changed their minds! We lost the whole month of May, when the housing market is usually at it's peak. Should have told the people to come and talk with a check or forget it, but we tried to be nice. Trouble is, I'd probably do the same thing again! I bet you will too, Bill.

Mine too. I raised the Nova back up to $5K or best offer. So far, my job is working out so I won't need to sell it as bad. A guy offers me $3K sight unseen without asking a single question. "Sorry, no. Thanks for looking." was the answer he got. Yeah, times are tight, but I refuse to let them be THAT tight. I know what I have in this and I'll be darned if I give it away. ....besides, it sure is a blast to drive! :D
