I switched out my stockmanifold for an edelbrock performer intake but on my old intake i had a spout coming off of the manifold that went to some kind of water chamber.
1)I need to know what it is called as i can't get the old one off
2) what is this things function and what should be routed to it? I believe a hose originally came from the canister in the corner of the car and hooked to it and from there it went to the carb but not sure...?

Perhaps a hose nipple? Looks like the things screwed into the water pump?

Is this a later year like a 72? The charcoal canister up by the radiator? If so, pollution control or smog stuff.

Is it possible this is plumbing for one of those after-market water injector systems that used to be really popular? Boost your gas mileage by 23% or some such nonsense?
