I gotta give kudo's to Mark over at SC&C for his advice and help with my suspension upgrades. I put about 300 miles on my 70 SS454 over the last 3 weeks and every day it feels better.
I had a 2002 TransAm Firehawk for a year and the fun of driving that one got me thinking it was time to upgrade the Chevelle's handling. And the nice thing is that now the Chevelle corners as good or better than the Firehawk.
Here's the main things I replaced - I was fortunate to have some talented Local mechanics over at John Wise in San Carlos do the work. Brian and Scotty made it look easy.
SPC Adjustable Tubular Control Arms
Severe Duty upper Ball Joints
Matched set of SPC Performance rate Springs which dropped the car about 1.2 inches
Baer Brakes - Track Systems 13" drilled, slotted & zinc washed rotors with 2 piston PBR calipers
Currectrac Rear Control arms
Matched set of 4 QS1 adjustable VariShocks by Alston/ChassisWorks with 16 position dampening adjustments
Hellwig 4140 Chrome Moly Anti Swaybars - 1 1/4" front, 1"back

And of course new shoes too - since the stock rims don't fit on the new front rotors.
Boss 18x8 Style 338's in Gray. Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport 245 50 all around.
Just a couple of pics here - lots more details and pics on my cardomain page -
