I am converting my front drum car ('70 Chevelle) to disk. I have a set of used GM front 11" disk brake rotors, calipers, spindles, brackets for the conversion.

Where can I find a diagram for proper assembly? Thanks

If you really need a diagram to show the proper placement of the parts, get the factory assembly manual. There is not all that much to it. Remove the old drum brakes and put the new stuff in its place. You may need to update the hose brackets on the frame to work with the disk brake hoses. Get the proper combination valve or proportioning valve and master cylinder.

Prettin staight forward, yet the brake lines and prop valve are only the same in 69/70. If you In 69/70 a distribution block was used along with a seperate prop valve located up on the booster. 71/72 used an all-in-one prop valve located down on the frame rail and differant lines to match. Using the correct system is critical as it limits the pressure to the rear brakes, not allowing rear lock-up. Post again with the specific year of the donor car and which lines/valve that you want to use.

I have an assembly manual, but cannot find a specific diagram showing the individual parts or assembly for the rotor, cal bracket, bolt specs, etc....

Also I will be buying a prop valve for a '70 front disk, rear drum car. I do not know for sure what year these disk setups came off of.
