Wipers sitting to high up on the windshield in the off position,thought I could just move them down but the spindle has one extra large tooth allowing for one position.Is there another way to move them down so that they stop on the bottom windshield moulding? Thanks.

I think you can adjust the linkage at the motor.

Down where the wiper transmission bolts to the wiper motor is a small adjusting sleeve I'll call it. If I remember correctly, there are 2 small nuts that you can loosen to raise or lower where the wipers park. Also just FYI, there are 2 types of wipers on Chevelles, hidden, and non-hidden.
