i want to change out my front tires. they are pretty much new, they came with the car and i just hate them on the front. they are 235/60/15s. im thinking about either 215s or 225s does anybody have some side pictures with ur chevelle with 215s or 225s on them? the springs i have will drop the front end 3/4 to 1 inch from stock so if you have a little bit of a lowered front end id really like to see your pictures. anyone know of any "trade in" kind of deal at tire places that they care to share? these tires have like 95% tread on them. thanks a bunch.

local guy wants 225 for a set of 215/60/15s on weld draglites. 15x7 with 4.5 inch backspace. that sounds more like a rear wheel... anybody have these on the front of their chevy?

215/60/15 are about 26" tall. My fronts are the same height, But a little narrower. My fron sits about 1 1/2" lower than stock. As for the 15/7 4.5bs welds. They would be perfect for the front (rears would be 4"bs) and $225 is a good price...Heres a pic of mine.

im sorry i meant 215/65/15s. he has them and a set of 205/65/15s. the 205s have a 15x6 with 3.5 backspace and the 215s have the 15 inch with 4.5 backspace...

anyone with pics of either on their car?

Actually Mike. I just rechecked using this Calc. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html the 215/65's are the same height as mine. 215/60's are 25" tall. The 205/65's would be about 1/2" shorter..

My front tires are 215/70-15's. They are 26.8" in diameter with a tread width of 6.40" mounted on Cragar 15x7 with 4.125" B/S.

I looked at 215/65's - they were 26" with a section width of 7".

I wanted the narrower tire because I have manual steering.
