I have a 1970 chevelle, the hood shuts, but it only latches once, anyone know what i can do to make it shut completely? Thanks.

Hey Dan,sounds like your lower latch is gummed up or rusted open,look down on the latch assembly and you will see a half moon looking mechanism...it hooks that nub that is attached to the hood.See if the half moon piece moves when you actuate the hood release handle.You can also adjust the nob thing by unscrewing it or screwing it into the hood.WD40 or Crowne will free it up if its sticking.Good luck C-yaa Vince
