OK, so out this morning to get a jet kit while doing errands. Somewhat later in the afternoon, out to the garage to get the goblins outa my carb and eliminate the bog. Thinking LEAN BOG with 6.5 frt PV and 72 jets in the 800 DP. The Jet change went well. During reassembly, I checked the adjustment of the accelerator pump arm. Holley site says .015" clearance...... Holy Crapola, I had tons more clearance than that! Took me three tries to close it down to spec. So, fired her up and the bog is gone.:hurray:
Sad to say, the fuel inlet line decided that was all she wrote. Would not seal, seeping gas onto my painted intake. Correction, now a painted intake with Aluminum splotches showing through. Off in the S-10 to get a new fuel line with the braided hose. On return, 5-ish, TOG calls to shoot the shi+. Back to the fuel line, no nipple. Hmmm, the box of parts had my Eddy's original fuel inlet nipple, so that is now on the fuel line, no leaks anywhere.
Out in the Elky, right rear tire down so grabbed some air around the corner. Spied neighbor guy Mark a few streets away. He and his college son ( U Portland) built this crazy Mustang coupe.
Red with black top, 67, has a punched 390 so I guess 400", has Eddy EFI, Eddy Aluminum heads, and a TKO. He's having a roller cam put in it, his stock cam is too mild. Anyway, Mark gets in and we go for a little sane cruise in the neighborhood, sun already down so what the heck. He was tremendously impressed with the old $600 454 compared to his mega-buck FE series F@#$ engine.
Got home, see steam, hear ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss! No BURNING CAR smell so very pleased, always nervous about under hood BBQs but the extinguisher was not required.
Lower heater hose at the cowl decided to spew......
Got this fixed than finished cleaning construction stuff out of the master BR, lotta clean-up and moving some of the furniture back in. New carpet is two weeks out  but tired of sleeping in the dining room.
So, work at 10 tomorrow...may shoot vid before going to work...looks like evening showers are forecast.
