Good Morning- Had a ruff time getting home last night from work. I believe my problem to be rust or scaling in the fuel tank. The 71 (Malibu 350)misses, back-fires and blows black smoke every time it gets low on fuel. Would it help to have the tank cleaned out to save a few bucks until I can afford a new tank or should I park it and start saving? What would you do?

I'd pick up a cheap tank from some place like Muscle Factory and won't mess with the old one.
