I have a mid 80's CHevy 305 engine that I just rebuilt, will a 67 power steering pump and brackets work, or do I need to match the year of the engine.

Doesn't the 67 pump need the bracket that mounts to the exhaust manifold? Uses the same two exhaust manifold bolt holes as the alternator bracket. Later manifolds don't have these holes.
They may make an aftermarket bracket set-up for the pump. Maybe someone else knows but the original arrangement won't work.
