iv just done some work to my 72 velle, specifically remounted my transmission fluid cooler and connected the braided transmission fluid hoses and started it up for the first time in a couple days. within a few seconds after it was started the GEN light comes on. i turned it off checked the hoses and both hoses werent on the trans fluid cooler, probaly from the time i started it up. what does anyone think is the cause of the GEN light to come on? if its the trans fluid hoses not being connected, what damage could be caused by this. my other possible idea was that because it hasnt been started in a few days the battery was low and the car just needed to warm up and be started a little more often. any ideas are welcomed!

Only thing you may have is knocked loose the small ground wire from battery (-) to the right inside fender.
Maybe get the alternator checked out if it's on the older side.
