hello every one i have a healthy running 383 with flat tops and 72cc sportsman2 heads, and a comp cam 292 duration and 501 lift. i have an opportunity to buy a weiand 142, will this setup up be not good for a supercharger, please help, thanks

what compression ratio???
this will limit boost as will the piston type, forged/cast/hyper........
comp.cam probably ground on 110* center which would work just not optimum. :)

You want around 8.5:1 Compression to be pump gas friendly, if your in the norm witout a blower 10.1 or so you will be paying lots of money for Petro
