I'm putting together a 67 SS I was thinking about trying out hotchkis suspension parts. Has anybody tried them out?
How about the 1 inch drop is that too much?
I'm running aluminum heads and intake on a big block.
Should I use the big block springs or the small block
springs?
Is the rear control arms package worth the extra
money?
How about the sway bars?
Thanks for your time

If you have a big block, use the big block springs.
I have the Hotchkis setup (springs, 1" drop all around, bigger sway bars, bilstein shocks) and love it. My car handles great, like it's on rails. Drawback for some is the ride is a little stiffer - I like it that way, some don't.
1" drop is hardly noticeable, and in fact you may not get 1" with the aluminum heads (I have Aluminum heads also, didn't notice any real height difference when I switched from the iron head engine). You can use different wheel/tire combinations to enhance the look you want also.

I have the complete Hotchkis setup on my '70 small block -- see my sig below. I put the stuff on in 2001. The 1" dropped springs give it a great stance and the car handles *much* better than stock. The ride is a bit rough if you have to deal with rough roads, though. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. I might have 20k miles on the setup.

We sell and install a lot Hotchkis and on Chevelles it provides a perfect 1 1/2" drop front and rear.
Here is one 67 Chevelle we did.
