hi, does anybody know where i can buy a differential cross shaft and lock pin for my 67 el camino? it's an 8.2 posi. the pin measures .749 in diameter and is about 477.5 long. i tried ratech, but they sent me a .809 thick pin, and they don't sell a .749 pin. the funny thing is, they sent me spider thrust washers for a .749 but they say they don't sell the .749 pin. WTH? can anybody help? thanks in advance, ken

The shaft diameter has been increased in the new Eaton posi for the 8.2 and that is the shaft that most places have in stock. GM might have one, but I think I tried to get one about 20 years ago and couldn't. The retaining bolt might be the same as the 12 bolt. If it is then I have several of them.

I have one out in the garage. Just the shaft. No lock pin.

If I'm not mistaken, that lock pin was used in MANY different rearends. Should be extremely common.

thanks for the responses guys. gilbert, if the one you think you have is new, would you sell it to me? freddie, the lock bolt is larger in a twelve bolt. tom, the length is about 4 3/4 inches long, and the diameter is about 3/4 inch. if anyone could find gm numbers, could you please let me know? thanks to all! ken
