So, it seems like this is the "elusive color". My '72 came with blue cloth interior (724) and it sure looks to be made of unobtanium. I'm not a total purist, but I really like the factory cloth. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Try googleing it. Theres someone on the west coast that sells vintage material for older cars. I'll see if I can find who it was.

OK, so it sounds like I'll be finding the material and having a shop make the seat covers. Will start hitting the Google.
Thanks.

I can tell you that last summer I sent and got samples from SMS auto fabrics for the blue cloth inserts and the blue vinyl for the 1972 chevelle. Cost for the cloth fabric was $89 per yard and the vinyl $49 per yard, that was as of 7/09/08.
