What would be a reasonable price to pay for labor to install disk brakes on 68 malibu ? Also if you need a disk brake kit John s classic parts has a sale through the 29 th of jan of 500.oo .check his website for discount code. The kit I bought today was from RIGHT STUFF DETAILING.While I was there I also got a new core support,L front floor pan,and bucket seat brackets .I have alot of work to do or have done .Depending on cost I may try the brakes myself, although I have never done them befofe. Also never replaced partial floorpan either but will see how that turns out.Trying to conserve cash as the 72 malibu convertible has been very hungry.:hurray::yes: It will be fun starting on the 68 after all this time of collecting parts.

John,
FYI...I'd recommend using your original drum brake spindles when you convert to disc. A simple machining modification will allow them to be safely used for discs.
I'm assuming the original spindles are in usable condition...

BILL I dont know what condition the existing spindles are in as it hasnt been taken apart yet.I was hoping someone would give me an idea of of cost to do this for me.Also the kit I bought has new spindles with it. Why do you recomend using the original spindles versus the new spindles ? As always thanks for your replys Bill .We look forward to seeing you and Ann during the upcoming season.

watch out for cheap aftermarket spindles, they tend to break
