Just set it up. This thing is habit forming! I was scrounging arounf for things to blast

sure sucks a lot of air. My poor 5 hp Mac compressor was running overtime.

I had to seal the crap out of my scat blast cabinet. How does yours do leak wise?

Andy, do yourself a favor and get a roll of thin clear plastic film, stuff you can cut right off the roll and duct tape inside the window. This will save your window from clouding up. The plastic film is much cheaper than a new window. I've entertained the thought of picking up a small benchtop model, but haven't due to the air volume they use. I have one available at work that has two compressors to feed it. Even with two 2-stage 7.5hp 80gal compressors, pressure will still fall to about 80psi in about 10 minutes. I would hate the bill on that, thus the reason I haven't bought one. I might do it if I had a gas powered compressor, though.

I have the same model blaster. Great piece of equipment! Save yourself frustration and money and upgrade to carbide nozzles. The nozzles wear pretty quickly, and a carbide will last 30x longer than a steel nozzle. To help with your compressor issue, try using smaller air jets, helps tremendously. What are you using for media? I run a 50/50 blend of glass beads and aluminum oxide. The best of both worlds, fast cutting action and smooth finish. I have had no leakage problems, and use a 5hp shop vac with a fine filter. I got mine through TP Tools. Excellent customer support and parts availability.
