I cannot seem to find anyone who sells (or even knows what I'm asking for) the trim above the doors on a 71 chevelle. I have been referring to it as the glass run channel trim.... please correct me if I'm wrong !

I do not want the rubbers or the drip molding.... just the channel with the chrome edge. Anybody else find these 4 pieces being re-manufactured ?
thanks, Doug

Are you talking about the piece that the roof rail weatherstripping goes onto ? The long stainless strip that goes up the front and then towards the back of the car across the top of the window opening ? Picture below. If so, I do not believe anyone makes it. Junk yard time :( What happened to your original ones ?

yes thats the ones.... I can't hardly believe NOBODY makes these !!!! come on you can get an entire car repo these days.

My old ones are ok , but look like crap on a 18K paint job !!!!!

Doug,
Those things are stainless and clean up real nice with some Mothers and a soft rag. I did mine in about an hour and they look like new. I spent more time getting the old weatherstripping and glue off than I did polishing them. Only the outside edge shows anyway once the rubber is put back. Most people dont realize that almost all of the exterior mouldings are stainless and it is very easy to make them look like new again as long as they are not dented up. Even then a little minor "body work" goes a long way.

I do believe that is what it is called in the parts book. I will look on Saturday to be sure.
