After the car sets for a couple of days, it's hard to start. I have no problem starting the car on the same day after the first time. I replaced the carb with a rebuilt one and the problem still exists. Could the fuel pump cause this? Car is stock restored 72 SS 402 with Quadrajet.

Additional info: The rebuilt carb has had the fuel well plugs epoxied already.

CY72SS - sounds like your fuel bowl is leaking down. After the car sits for a day or so, pull off the air cleaner, look into the carb and pump the throttle. If no fuel squirts out, then the bowl is leaking and you'll have to disassemble the carb. If fuel DOES squirt out, you do not have a fuel problem, pump or otherwise.

Is the choke working as it should?
