I replaced the hose the comes off the bottom of the fuel pump and goes into the steal line. I still get a leak, somedays it poors drops continuesly. somedays it doesnt leak.... so my guess is its the steal fuel line, part of it rests on the frame or engine mounts, maybe its rubbed over the yrs and cant handle it anymore.... whats a good procedure to replace these? I should probably pick up a new fuel pump while this stuff is all down... any ideas? Thanks.....

If the diaphrahm in your pump goes bad, the pump itself will leak.

Diaphrahm inside the pump hrm... which means the fuel pump has gone to crap and needs a replace? Fuel pumped arent that costly .... if thats the issue should i replace it?

I would replace the pump, had the same problem on my'67.It sat for awhile and when I started it up it leaked all around the diameter of th fuel pump housing where the diaphram was.A replacement cost me something like $9.00 for a stock replacent. Now I no longer have lake 93 octane under my car when I start it.
As far as the metal fuel lines go,I would look at any of the people that make reproduction stuff for Chevelles they should have them.. smile.gif
