ok used search cant find exactly what i want. can anyone point me in a direction or can anyone tell me if there is a site, to see what will fit on a chevelle, from other types of gm vehicles? like say b body front disks or such, column and all. my car is going the restified route. so trying to do this as budget minded as i can, doesnt have to be #'s matching, shes going to be a driver. thanks ahead of time.

I know it's a book you have to order but may be more handy in person rather than taking a computer with you to the parts store or salvage yard....
Or you can try a Hollander parts interchange manual, I think that's the one the auto parts places use.

ok, yeah i have the manual, looking for a hollanders as we speak, just wondered if there was a site i could go to and go ok that will work. no worries, was just a thought. thanks for the help though. most everything else ive owned was pretty much together, this one however is not, lol.

for front brakes, just use your stock spindles and upgrade to 84 and newer Corvette brakes. if you have drum brakes now, it's really easy- just make the outside diameter of the stock hub a little bit smaller to fit inside the Vette rotor, cut the upper boss down to the same height as the steering arm mounting bosses, and make a caliper bracket out of a piece of 1/4" steel.
either that, or use 69-72 Chevelle disk brakes on the stock drum hub by getting some repro caliper brackets and cutting the upper boss down to fit.

Pretty much just ask around here and someone (probably NovaDerrick) will know. Same era Monte Carlo is the easiest for some stuff, some Impala stuff, Jeep Cherokee steering gear, etc.
