I have been searching for a reasonably priced gun and ran across a few hot rodder websites that talk about the Central Pneumatic 43430 HVLP doing a great job for painting panels, sections and such. Do any of you have experience with this gun and what are your opinions?

FYI
I'm looking for a gun to paint my sealer, base and clear, in sections, on my bracket racer, so I am not looking for "show quality" even though I believe I can attain that with some color sanding and buffing. ;)

Here is the gun:

Thanks as always :)

Its a sata NR95 knock off gun, a great design to copy. The thing that jumped out at me was the CFM rating on that thing, it ranged from 9.5 to 14.8 CFM.
Does your compressor put out those kind of numbers? Without enough air to meet the gun requirements your paint job will suffer.

I have read on several forums people using the gun and liking it, Ive never used the gun myself so I cant comment. Just match your air rating from your compressor to your gun and you will get good results.

Another gun to look into is the finishline by develbiss (sp?) I have one for spraying epoxy and it works good plus if I remember right it has a lower CFM rating, cost me about 80 bucks...Eric

Eric,

I'm also looking at the Astro Quantum HVLP which runs about $90. Which tip size should I use for base/clear? I have two other guns for my urethane primer....

Thanks
