I was changing the spark plug wires on my velle along with the plugs. I was just finishing and noticed that a few of the wires were in the wrong order on the cap (so I thought). The motor that is in the car now is a 305 from a 83-85 camero i have the firing order a 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
I need to know which post on the cap is the #1 terminal. The car ran fine before with a bit of a miss but Im sure this will fix the current no start problem. help me this is me baby and it needs to be on the road killing imports ASAP.

should be on the front driver's side but it could be anywhere as long as the vacuum advance doesn't hit on anything and prevent proper timing

You can also line up the timing marks and look at the rotor. It will give you a 50/50 chance. It will be #1 or #6 Just my .02 worth
