Here it is all, I have finally pulled the girl out for the summer and tuned her all up. She is a 67 malibu, with a glide and stock 83 350. I notice that when I put the car in drive there is absolutly nothing off the line, but if I put it in 1st off the line it has considerable more go. Nothing special, not even enough to make a sqweek of the tires but more than drive. I am guessing this is because of a combination of the stock 350 and only 2 speed tranny. If this sounds right then ok, but if it sounds like there might be something wrong please let me know.
