Hi all,

I can't seem to find whats causing my dashboard lights not to work. I replaced the fuse, which i believe is the very small (4 amp?) one, and traced some wires, but all seem in order.

Anyone have any suggestions on further touble-shooting this problem?

Thanks.

Be sure you have a good ground to the (metal housing) light socket assembly.

What year? Had that on my 66, where they ground through the metal cluster and to the dash. There is a ground strip that connects the cluster to the dash on mine.

Make sure you have good grounds. And change the light bulbs. No clue why, but nearly all of them in my truck quit within a 3 month timeframe, and that cluster was a real pita to change.

Also, sort of obvious, make sure the rheostat part of the headlight switch is working.

Did you turn the headlight switch knob?
