Anyone know how much a complete 12 bolt rearend weights thats out of a Chevelle ?

i would say about 150-175lbs. i can lift one by myself but i lift beef quarters all day also. luke

Yeah, I'd agree on the 150-175 lb estimate....cause it took TWO struggling old farts to lift mine.;)

Last I recall, it weighed slightly more than I could bench press as a 16 yr old; but not enough to crush my chest.

I've sold a couple and I believe the shipping weight was in the 235 neighborhood, strapped to a half pallet. The pallet I'm guessing weighed around 15lbs.

I weighed my 69 Chevelle 12 bolt complete drum to drum w/ posi and no oil.
It weighs 193 pounds.
