Wondering how you guys mounted your dual electric fans to your radiator and what radiator did you use ?
Thanks.

Hi: I used an Alumitech Aluminum radiator with twin spal fans already mounted on but found they were way too loud with the straight fan blades. They attracted way too much attention at idle because of the roar plus I couln't enjoy some tunes while they were running.

I've since switched to a Single Flex-a-lite 180 Black Magic Extreme Fan with an oversized shroud already attached. Comes with an Adjustable thermostat and produces 3300 CFM's to cool any motor. The best part is they use 8 S-blades ( not straight ) that are super quiet while running. ( Sorry Don ) You make a great Aluminum Radiator but the fans could be alot quieter. The perfect solution is an Alumitech Radiator with a Black Magic Fan system...

hope I helped....

Hi Don-

I've been planning on ordering a big block radiator from Alumitech sometime in the next week and hadn't thought about the noise the spal fans make....curious though, would a Black Magic fan fit a big block application? I've seen the picture at the bottom of the Chevelle page with the dual 12 inch fans, and there's not much room left over, even with the gap between fans. I'm running a small block 383 but want to be able to switch to a big block later without issues.

we make 3 set ups small block has no problem with clearence with the twin 11 full shroud unit on 64 to 67
then if you have big block with long water pump go the twin 12 seperat fans .. the pic your looking at if for big block with march front runner and zoop style set up or serpintine with long pump where clearence is a issue .

The PWM-3 controller from SPAL helps cut the noise on the dual fans by using proportional control. One fan runs at low speed when minimal cooling is needed. Both fans run at high speed only when the maximum temperature set point is exceeded.
