Hey guys, trying to run a new fuel line for my new BB (505). I just bought a Holley 80-130 with 3/8" inlet and outlet. Is it possible to run 1/2" line and 3/8" adapters? Or should I just run 3/8" line? Do I have to jack up the body to replace the line? Can I avoid this by running braided line? Sorry for all the qs, couldnt find any previous topic that answered all these.

Thanks,

Tim

3/8 will be fine unless it's a high rpm 505. What year?

Have a 69 chevelle. Its a Mark Jones 505. I heard I had to lift the frame, but I thought maaybe some how I could get around that for now by using a braided line. Routing it a different way?

I have heard of people running braided lines through the frame.

I'm trying to run lines thru my frame now. I don't know how far back you can go thru the frame though. Anyone know? Can you get all the way to the tank (over the axle and everything) thru the frame?

Well, turns out I have to change out the rear end on the car. Was wondering if i would be able to run the fuel line any easier while the rear was out. Was also going to replace the rear springs while I have the chance. Any thoughts?

If your running the pre-bent steel there's no way, but to lift the body even with the suspension out. I just did mine with the suspension out. Had to cut and flare it and use a union above the lower control arm right where it goes up. If I need a 1/2 I will use a braided hose and run it along the steel line.

Braided hose sounds good! So basically I would have to snake it where the old bent line was? And that I can do easier with the rear sus. out?
