Help! I dropped the tank and was fiddling with the sending unit and put it all back together. Now it won't run. If I spray some starting fluid into the carbs, it will start and run briefly, then nothing. What did I do wrong?

Hmm. I think I found the culprit. My rubber hose had a kink in it. I'm not sure how it worked before since the hose is so short and the hard line and the sending unit don't line up. I'll have to get more rubber hose tomorrow. Every place here is already closed. graemlins/clonk.gif So much for my test drive tonight.

Good luck, i've yet to take my gas tank off. It's the only thing I haven't taken off or out yet, excluding the engine, trans and rear end. Was it very difficult taking the gas tank out? Have you tried putting an aftermarket fuel pump on? I want to put one under the back bumper like the "drag" cars have, I think they look "tough" back there. Thanks for sharing and letting me talk. :D

It wasn't too bad. It's just taking longer than I thought, and now I had to take it back down partially to fix the stupid hose. I don't think putting the back sump fuel hump would be difficult if you got a new tank. Pricey though!
