I just had my front control arms replaced on my 71 malibu and shortly after the spacers that were used started to pop out. Someone told me that this could be because the frame is bent. I think that the place i had it done at just did a bad job though. But i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to figure out if my frame is bent? Any help would be appreciated....thanks a lot.

Sounds like they either didn't get the shim pak nuts tight and or the lock nuts or studs are worn and don't hold

There is a nifty tool called a torque wrench. Of course, "experts" don't need to use one because they KNOW when the nut is tight enough. Properly torqued nuts and bolts seldom, if ever come loose.

yeah i'm aware of that keith. I always torque everything. I think that the mechanic that i brought it to just didn't torque them down. Talk about a **** job. He even left a rag and some other **** under my hook when i picked it up. B@stard! graemlins/angry.gif Oh well. So no one knows of any way you can check to see if your frame is slightly bent? I mean i know you can bring it in to people who can check it....but honestly, I don't want to spend the cash because i'm doubting it from the start. Thanks for the replies.
