Yeah, I've definately seen a trend this year where the Resto-mods are bringing more money than a "just as nicely done" resto. I guess that's the flavor people want today.

Then you add in a currie rear end a good stout trans and drive shaft and a good clutch assembly, it adds up pretty quick.

Not saying you can't build it, but.:)

As rabadub pointed out, you're at 20k in just drivetrain parts.

You're doing the rest for $11,500?

and you have not bought a rust free car disassembled the entire thing..fixed all the problems that exist on a 40 yo car..painted it, re-done interior..yeah your own labor is cheap, but parts cost money..63K for that car is a deal imho.

Dont think so:noway: now if you use duck tape over the rust holes and rattle can spray paint and AMC pacer parts you just might pull it off.

ok 1 1/2 for that price, and no labor cost,if you cant do it yourself yes it will cost, its more like 15k in driveline, how many people realy have more than 35k in there car not counting labor or your own mistakes along the way,i know i dont and mine is show ready

At any rate, I am suprised by the $$$ resto mod cars bring. I was blown away by the cash that POS 72, 6 cyl, green resto mod brought.

At any rate, just goes to show the value of a car is what someone will pay for it....

The sellers made out on these for sure...good for them.
