I have a 72 chevelle with a stock (i think) 350 in it. I can start the car and run it a little, but when it gets under 1000 rpm (around 700 to 800) it starts shaking, and the rpms go up and down on their own. If it gets to 600, where the tag says to set the timing to, it will die. I know how to rebuild engines and such, but when to comes to diagnosing a problem on one in the car, I am completely lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
