I have a 65 Elky that I threw a 350 in. It has a Holley Street Avenger 570 CFM carb on top of a Holley Dominator intake. Most everything else on the engine is stock, but I do have a RV cam in there.
When I mash the gas, or even if I'm cruising and give it a little juice, there's a slight hesitation, coupled with a feeling like the engine is about to cut out, and then it roars right up. I'd say the hesitation lasts less than a second, but it's still there, and it's annoying.
Any tips anyone?
I've checked the timing, set the mechanical advance on the distributor, checked for vacuum leaks, and set the idle / idle mixture adjustment.
Thanks!
