I put in new spark plugs about 2 weeks ago- Pulled one out yesterday to see how they are doing- look ok- White on one side- but the other side is darker- not oily dark- just darker...

Is that normal? I think my engine is running lean- it used to leave big black carbon spots under the exhaust- but since then i had the tail pipes cut off and new headers installed- and it doesn't leave carbon at all anymore- i think removing the tails leaned it out...

Anyway- thanks for any info-
Ben

Your ok.

Most likely the side nearest the Exhaust is getting a "second dose of cooking" when the combusted gas exits the chamber.

Be grateful your where you are. For a while, my plugs came out Rich as hell. So rich that I could hold them up right, light them, and use them as a candle.
