: Exhaust bog?

I have had a slight bog recently before I replaced my exhaust with a Flowmaster American Thunder kit(loud as hell) any way once the exhaust was installed the problem bog is much worse. Does this make mechanical sense? I don't know enough about it and was thinking that the problem was magnified by the different pressure of the exhaust. I am learning alot from the experts and friendly people who post here. Thanks....

You don't say when the bog happens, but if it is at the start of accelleration you could have a lean spot which would be made worse by the free flow exhaust moving even more air. You could try a bigger squirt of fuel at throttle tip in (accelerator pump) and see if that helps.

Along the same thoughts, depending on your carb, it could be the secondary springs. Too light or too heavy a spring for the weight of your car.
