hey. did anyone have this trouble - or know any idea why this happened?

today i started my car - started up fine, step on gas, fine - so i drove around. in about an eigth of the mile - the car begin to cough and mis-fire, and would just stall. it gets to the point where it would only idle and will stall when i give it gas (worst in drive). so i parked my car, and cursed loudly. i started my car 5 minutes later - let it idle a bit - then rev it. before, it owuldnt even get to 1200rpm without coughing and dying) andn now it revs happly to 3000. i let the car idle a little more, and i drive back home. the car seems to run strong - but i havent tried yet.

anyone know what could be causing this intermiate problem? or have you experienced a similiar problem? thanks!

Couple of questions that might help people suggest things:

- what carb are you running
- what fuel pump are you running
- what were your engine temps / outside temps at the time it happened

Post these and see what happens...

Holley Anhillator 110GPH fuel pump
- what fuel pump are you running
Holley 4150HP carb
- what were your engine temps / outside temps at the time it happened
about 130-140F and outside was 80-90F

Post these and see what happens...

ok i drove around for an hour - it didnt stall now. :/

wonder what cused that to happen
