i'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out which shade of blue to paint my chevelle. fathom blue looks too dark, and marina blue is too light. i want something that is metallic. im looking at a ton of different colors and i want to see pictures of your blue chevelles, especially 68 and 69s. please show a picture and the paint name. thanks!

ill leave the orange for mopars...whatever i go with, id rather it be too dark than too light.

I think that color is Indigo Blue Metallic. My truck is that color. Its a GM color that they started using in 93 or 94. Mine is a 95. I love that color. I am thinking of using it on my 65.

My 68ss 138 car was fathom blue.when i did the frame off i had it painted 2006 viper blue.like you i was looking at so many shades of blue.try to see the color on a car before you choose.dont pick a color if you know if anybody close to you has the same.

Take a look at the new Camaro ( 2010 ) Blue Aqua metallic. I don't have a picture of mine at present. I do have a Marina Blue 67.

Mine is "Dark Cloisonne" which is a '95 Corvette color

It looks like a really bright blue in the sunlight.

I know this isn't what you are looking for but thought it was a pretty rare color choice back in 70. It was Carolina Blue. The owner had a build sheet saying it was a special order paint. The first time I saw it, I thought it was in primer. It sat there for a couple of years then disappeared.

I dont have a pic, but I used Bahama Blue...from 95-96 GM trucks.

GM code 9656...darkens in shade and brightens in light and is very metallic!:thumbsup:
