Sorry for the non Chevy question but I'm hoping someone knows :(

Anyone know how to check the front air springs on a 1990 Contintal ?

I'm working on one that has the front end setting all the way down
I bought a Chiltons manual and it says "check the air springs" but dosent say anywhere how to check them
It does have instructions on how to replace them but at 400.00 each I would like to know if they're bad or not first

When I jacked up one side of the car, the compressor came on and ran for a while but didn't seem to do anything at all
Also there is an air valve on the compressor (just like on a tire) but when I put aproximately 75 PSI of air into it nothing happened either

check the switch in the trunk drivers side make sure the pump is operating properly most likely the air bags are blown $$$$ if you have access to ford diagnostics the ride control connector is also in the trunk and you can run all kinds of tests there

You can buy aftermarket struts for your car that eliminates the air system, go to your local parts store and ask them.

have a friend that had that happen on his and he would unplug the connector and plug it back in then they would go up and work fine for a while.
