Can someone tell me which side front retractor this is? I need the other side so I have a pair for my '72. If anyone has the other side let me know if you want to sell or trade.

I am going to say passenger side just by looking at it. I am trying to visualize how mine were in when I tore down the interior almost a year ago.
*EDIT* - I actually take that back... Unless mine were put in backwards at some point, it looks like that might be the driver side. Here is a picture of my 70 showing the seat belt retractor still installed. This does not say that they were not wrong in my car...

I still think it looks a bit wrong just due to the positioning of it, but...

hmmm, I appreciate the help, but that didn't help me cuz the cover is still on. MAybe they're ambidextrous.

You can still see how it is oriented with the cover on. If mine were in correctly, the retractor shown in the picture in your post above would be for the driver side.

with the way my cover is on and when I pulled it off it would be passanger side, but who knows how many times my seatbelts were put in wrong and I've never driven the car.

On my 69 Kyles would be backwards. I think Chris' is a pasenger side.

I guess it depends on the way the belt unreels, out the side it's laying, or over the top. It appears it would pull on the cover too much if unreeled out the side it's laying. If that were the case it appears to be a DS. I am beginning to think it may work on either side though.

It likely will. Do you have the seats in yet? Maybe a test fit is required.
