Check the spark plugs after running it. What do the plugs say? Too much gas, not enough gas?? Check the rev limiter on the MSD. Is that "0 hood clearance" as in 'zero hood clearance'? Is it getting enough air? Not enough air equals too much gas - you're choking it??

weak valve springs ? ignition timing ? take the hood off ? check gas cap to make sure it is vented .I have been told not to use electric and mechanical pumps together but I dont know why you cant ? thats a good topic to discuss. it sounds like your problem is simple but finding the problem may not be. have fun make noise :confused:
