I just thought you guys might enjoy seeing these pictures. It's my dad's Nantucket blue 67 SS before restoration started. Original paint except the hood and all numbers matching. Please excuse the picture quality, they are scans of photos taken 7-8 or so years ago.

Sorry about that, my name is Tim. I'm from SC, a small town called North...yes North, South Carolina. I have been a long time lurker of the forums, such a wealth of information here. Right now the frame and drivetrain are done. The body is off. The greatest holdup is trying to find a good painter around here.

No. I am curious as to why you ask though?

Welcome Tim, looks like a nice car to start with. Are you restoring it as origional, or are you planning on adding any options (upgrades)?

It did run quite well just as it was in those pictures. It did smoke a little though. It was still standard bore, had never been apart.

Nice pics Tim,
I can see where Ron was asking about a flood as to all the surface rust inside and out,
but the body panels do seem good.
Great project nonetheless!

No, I'm out at my parents today helping with some remodeling. My brothers name was permanently logged in and I forgot to log out and log in under my name. Thanks for noticing.

Just for fun, here is why my dad has always loved 67's. These pics are him taken in 1970 with his ride at the time. He would have been 18 then.

I'm wondering the same thing....
and be cautious about discarding any parts that are original, although they may be in bad shape, it might be something you can't .... or shouldn't replace with repro crap.
Things like... the dipstick, radiator.etc.... ;)

Tim,
Best of luck to you and your Dad on that project. I love it. This is an excellent site to find all kinds of info. Gotta love those 67's.
I really liked the old picture. I have a picture of me and my 67 back in '85. Have to figure out how to scan and post.

Nice project, good luck. If you have the original drive train, I would go with an original restoration.

It has that white residue all over. The last time I saw a car like that it had been partially submerged in a flooded area next to a creek up in Northern CA.
