Hey guys i had gotten inot and accident a couple months ago and I have been rebuilding my baby ever since, well finally a couple of days ago I got the radiator on and a lot of front end pieces so i figured I would able to start her up with no prob ( becuase I had done it before with no problem) but now i set everything up and try to start her and and all I get is one single click (im guessing from the starter), I know its not the battery I tried that and I'm hoping the engine didnt seize but she got plenty of oil ya know just from not being used at all for a while, but im not sure that why im coming to you guys. Thanks for the Help

Check your battery connections and your starter connections. Also check the other end of your ground cable. Usually a loose or corroded connection causes your symptoms.

sounds like a bad ground to me make sure all your grounds are good and put back in there original positions fender grounds and the big one at the engine

Seen this many times usually its just bad battery connections, if your battery is fine and connections are find, try new cables.

Good connections should be the first thing to check, but the loud click only is also a good indication of a bad starter solenoid. Easy to replace with the starter out, should be less than $20 if you need a new one.

turn it over by hand to ensure no hydrolic lock, it would be nice if you could do a voltage drop to the starter but if cables, conections, and bat. are good. I'd pull the starter.
