With all the attention to detail like correct hoses, clamps, etc. why do 'professional restorers' more often than not miss big things like splash pan color and grille extensions on 66s?

Dale - It is to give people like you and me something to do! Otherwise, what would we do with all our free time? :D

My favorite is the fuel line from the pump to the carb. A piece of hose with a glass fuel see through filter banging on the alternator. Gotta love it...

Dana, You shouldn't have any free time, if you do you should be working on the Chevelle:D. I have ALOT of free time but since I don't know anything about 66's I'm staying out of this one.

Because most people just look under the hood and think "since it has the correct hose clamps, it must be 100% original"!

Things like this drive me nuts too!
