Get the car the off the jack stands!!!!
Your frame is sagging in the front causing the wide gap at the top and tight at the bottom.
Your car NEEDS to resting on its wheels when you adjust body panels...Eric

And IF it HAS to be on jacks, lower control arms and rear axle, LEVEL!

I had to put the jack stands in to hook up the transmission linkage. There off, thanks for the quick reply.

Just take your time and keep tweaking, you can make them turn out pretty nice in time.

Try raising the door, it looks tight at the bottom. Also try some shims under the core support. That might try to closer the gap at the top.

My repro fenders fit like that when I bought them. I used a 10lb slide hammer, then had them laying in the driveway as I hopped up and down on them. Finally got a good fit with a lot of work. take your time and take one step at a time.

Make sure your core support isn't sagging...
