: HELP.....tranny troubles

Just bought a '67 Chevelle a couple of months ago. Got her running a couple of weeks ago. Once it has warmed up and I drive it (just around the block right now) it shoots tranny fluid out of the tranny dipstick. The tranny is "supposedly" rebuilt and has a 4500 stall (I know it's steep, but it's what it came with). I am planning to change out the stall eventually, but want to get the current problem fixed. I would like to take it out for spin (pun intended) on sunny days, but don't want to until the tranny problem is fixed.

Anyway, is there anything I can do to diagnose the problem without pulling the tranny out? Appreciate any help anyone can give me!!!

by any chance is this a power glide tranny?
I have heard of a common problem of the power glides "burping" I just came across an artical in Old Car Weekly about power glides shooting fluid from the dip sticks and a cure all to fix the problem, post what kind of tranny you have

Sorry 'bout not including the type of tranny. Gotta Turbo 350. Got a reply from Steve Oldani who said it is probably either incorrect fluid level or the vent (may be restricted).
