Is it possible to remove and replace the door hinges on a 67 coupe without removing the fenders and without scratching the paint?

How?

I have done it, but this was before my car was re-painted. The pressure wasn't as severe, as I knew the paint would be re-done.

First take some 1 inch masking tape & run it along the entire fender covering the edge of the door gap.

Second, mark the position of the hinges on the door with 1/2" masking tape. Then take the hinge bolts out of the door. Remove the door, mark the position of the hinges on the body, & remove the hinge to body bolts.

Reinstall in reverse. Wish it was as easy as I just made that sound.

The key is patience & finding an assistant who is very strong.

Good luck.

Yes, what Pete said. I've done it on my 67, but I wasn't worried about paint either, and I also had the glass removed, to make it lighter. I did it with no help
