i have a fairly new 350, maye 2500 miles. i am starting to see fresh oil build up on top of the fuel pump. i checked the valve covers, they were pretty tight. anywhere else i could check?

do you have a mechanical oil pressure guage that may have a leak in the line somewhere? Timing chain cover maybe?

wow, that was quick. i do have a mechanical pressure gague but the line doesnt run anywhere near the front of the engine. i will give the timing chain cover a closer look. the oil is so clean its really hard to see. thanks

Look just forward of the fuel pump to see if there is a bolt in the top hole in the front of the block, if not, that is probably your leak, it takes a short bolt about 3/4 of an inch long with some thread sealer on it. Hope this helps.

progress has little to do with speed, but lots to do with direction.

If you can't find it right away, clean it off and keep an eye on it. Then you should be able to see just where it's coming from. Gary
