Any Honda Experts out there? Got a 93 Accord EX. ABS kicks in almost every time the brakes are applied. Found no obvious damage at wheel sensors. Now the system has started to "click" just going down the road, and then the system drops off line (dash light comes on). Any ideas? I'm trying to avoid the predatory prices of the dealership.

Brian, it sounds like you may have an intermittant open with one of the speed sensors. I don't know if 93 cars stored abs codes or not, but that's the direction I would go. Oh, and my dealership charges less per hour than all the nearby independant shops, and we are far better trained!

Is there a way that I can test these sensors with a multimeter? I can find nothing in the repair manuals. Sure appreciate the help.

you could ohm the sensors out at the wheels
but might be hard to find if its intermittent.Try shaking the wires real good at each wheel while you got the ohm meter hooked up. I had a harness going to the rt front go bad on my lumina, the wires were corroded inside the insulation and one broke inside.

Any idea which wires should show continuity, voltage or ground? I can find no info in the repair manuals at all.

If you unplug the harness at the sensors and ohm out the sensors, just look to see if they are all in the same range, if one is
way off from the rest, its questionable.
I don't know what they should read, just look for a diff. between them.
What i did on mine also was I disconnected from the tranducers and ohmed out the harness back to the computer for continuity.
Maybe you could find a honda forum on the net and someone would have a wiring diagram?
Also for 24 bucks you can get a year subscription to Alldata online manual, they have good schematics, its 14/year after the first. www.alldata.com (http://www.alldata.com)
