: Harmonic balancer code question Texas70 Jan 10th, 09, 2:11 PM I have a brand new GM balancer with a 352 code stamped on the front face and it appears that it replaces OEM Number: 12551537. I bought this for my 454, but after doing some web searches, it looks like it is made specifically for small blocks. Can someone verify that for me? I don't have any inside calipers, but a crude measurement looks like 1 9/16" I.D. I bought this several years ago and cannot recall which supplier I bought it from, i.e. part# or stock#, but I'm sure I verified it was for a 454 engine. I lookeed at that small block damper on the link and mine is obviously a heavier duty one as it is solid to the bore with 3 bolt holes for the pully and (3) 1/2" smooth holes between those.
